As in the HBO hit series, Six Feet Under, the three serio-comic monologues in Three Viewings take place in a funeral parlor. Performed separately, the three stories interweave to portray the deceased and the bereaved, and the lengths to which survivors will go to hold on to memories, money, life and love. New York Magazine wrote that Three Viewings is "essential viewing..." and Variety stated that the monologues are "...beautifully spun tales that have the cumulative impact - and surprise payoffs... of one of the season's small indisputable triumphs."
"Nowadays it is rare to encounter a genuine writer - someone, that is, who thinks about such things as character and structure, someone who has a genuine feel for language. So when such a thing comes along, it's exciting. Jeffrey Hatcher('s)... Three Viewings is the genuine article...Hatcher's voice is one I want to hear again." New York Daily News
